Moongang est un groupe de musique cinématique français qui puise son inspiration dans le KARAWITAN,
la musique antique du GAMELAN Indonésien (orchestre de percussions en bronze)
jouée sur des instruments électriques tempérés.

Leur musique est une célébration des valeurs profondes du Gamelan:
l'unité dans la diversité, l'harmonie, l'écoute, la compréhension,...

L'univers étendu de Moongang est pluri-disciplinaire:
musique, spectacles, théâtre, danse, arts visuels, education, sciences et philosophie

1st album (April 19th 2024)
After a long period of impregnation, understanding, adaptation and exploration of the Gamelan music, the band has just recorded its 1st album. Playing some of the oldest pieces from the traditional Javanese and Balinese repertoire, Tukiman and his gang weave the soundtrack of a cinematic and cosmic adventure, from the Big Bang to the excesses and challenges of our actual world.

n.b.: each copy will contain a collection of notations of the pieces played,
and a note about how to play Karawitan music on your instrument.
